Overall I prefer a game like doom eternal because of the more elaborate combat mechanics and much more interesting variety in environment but this is a polished throwback with unlimited speed, less on rails level design, and a more consistent tone than eternal. FYI, when this game was being Kickstarted, the 59k stretch goal promised a single-player survival mode. It deals, all thing considered, way less damage than the shredders and it has very low accuracy and it slows you down. Here’s an FPS with no regenerating health, keycards, and tons of secrets to find among the game’s cold, steel walls. It's fun to use but on ultra hard is useless. At its core, Prodeus is a fast paced action shooter with lots of environments to explore and secrets to discover. More action, more explosions, more blood, and more over the top visual effects. ![]() But the game is balanced around restarting the level, which is what I'm doing for the second playthrough and having lots of fun. Prodeus takes the look and feel of the iconic 90's shooter and reforges it in the crucible of Moore's law. Monsters, I think they could be a bit more interesting, graphically and mechanically.Ĭheckpoint mechanic is stupid, one of the stupidest I ever seen.
